At the heart of the house are expansive living and dining spaces designed for long lunches, fireside evenings and unhurried time together. Barlow is offered with its own private chef, giving guests the freedom to make their stay as relaxed as they choose. Guests can bring their own groceries for the chef to prepare, or food can be sourced on their behalf and meals prepared from scratch. Outside, the experience continues into the surrounding landscape, with relaxed verandah spaces, outdoor dining and a private hot tub tucked into the forest. Your stay at Ehlatini: Ehlatini is approximately 25km from Howick, including 2km along a good dirt road. Guests are free to explore Ehlatini’s self-guided walking trails and indigenous forest during their stay. There are no televisions and connectivity is intentionally limited. WiFi is available at the central lodge/reception area, allowing Barlow itself to remain a place to switch off, slow down and enjoy the forest.
